About us

Mercy vineyard church
is part of a global family of 2500+ Vineyard churches on six continents and 90+ countries. Although each Vineyard Church operates independently, we share common values.

Our Core Values give meaning to all that we do as the Vineyard movement. They drive our purpose, define what is central to us, and remove ambiguity in our mission.

A PEOPLE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The Vineyard is a global movement of churches committed to the theology and practice of the kingdom of God,

proclaimed by the Hebrew prophets and fulfilled in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

We view the kingdom of God as the overarching and integrating theme of the Bible. From our beginnings,

Vineyard has been committed to through preaching, healing (physical, emotional and social), doing justice, and

bringing freedom to those held captive by evil. The kingdom of God can be described as the future reign of God

breaking into our present day life.

WE ARE A PEOPLE OF

THE KINGDOM OF GOD WHO…

Experience & Worship God

The experience of the kingdom of God (the experience of God’s presence) is central to our faith and Christian life. God is eager to be known and experienced by all. We believe that God is searching for lost humanity in order to draw us into renewed relationship with Himself. We value an approach to God’s presence that is respectful both of God and of those we are with. We avoid hype and other efforts to manipulate either God’s presence or the response of others to His presence.

Pursue Culturally Relevant Mission In The World

The church exists for the sake of those who are distant from God. We are called to bring the good news of Jesus into all the world, faithfully translating the message of Jesus into language and forms that are relevant to diverse peoples and cultures. For that reason, we seek to love and relate to those around us while staying true to the Bible.

Reconcile People With God & All Creation

Jesus is reconciling people to God, to each other, and to the entire creation, breaking down existing divisions. We want to be communities of hope that realize the power of the cross to heal what has been broken by sin. This requires us to move beyond our personal preferences to actively break down barriers of race, culture, gender, social class and ethnicity.

Partnering With The Holy Spirit

Our calling as Christians is to partner with the Spirit of Jesus, allowing God to move in our lives and gatherings. As communities of the Spirit, we are not simply implementing the best church strategies, trying to accomplish what is humanly possible. Rather, our mission involves praying and finding power from Jesus Himself to accomplish what humans could never accomplish on their own.

Engage In Compassionate Ministry

We lean toward the lost, the poor, the outcast, and the outsider with the compassion of Jesus. We seek to avoid judging others, realizing that we are all in the same sinking boat and in desperate need of Jesus’ love and forgiveness!
